French-Swedish co-production DANS LA FORET (Into the Forest) by Gilles Marchand is hitting French cinemas this week to rave reviews, after premiering in Locarno last year. The psychological horror-thriller is written by Gilles Marchand and Dominik Moll, writers of French thriller hits like “Lemming” and “Harry, he’s here to help” and directed by Gilles Marchand. The whole film was shot in Sweden, where the action takes place, mainly in the woods of Dalsland. French critics launded the film for its sensitive way of blending family drama and supernatural horror.
Silver Films’ co-founder Olivier Guerpillon is the Swedish co-producer, together with Frida Hallberg for GötaFilm, and the film will be released in Sweden by Silver Films later this Spring. Stay tuned!
